Artisan Work Lab is looking for crafty hands and creative minds. You will join a group of creative people who are passionate about bringing the community together. Together, you will create a space where others come to use the free facility to sew, make arts and crafts, and most importantly, get to know their neighbors!
We are looking for volunteers who can support the space on Sundays. If you have a skill to share, that would be a huge bonus!

Mission Statement
The Artisan Work Lab is a makerspace for people to create, craft and upcycle new things out of the raw materials generated from excess free store donations. Members can use the space as a work studio and to teach or participate in a variety of artisan classes.
Description
The Artisan Work Lab (AWL) is a small, membership-based business incubator and co-work studio designed for local artisans.
AWL members will have access to surplus donations collected by the adjacent Whittier Free Store along with studio space, equipment, and one-on-one business consultations. Mid-career artists will provide mentorship and teach workshops.
Support waste stream diversion! Imagine new fashion found in old clothes, found objects turned into sculpture, printmaking on any surface, and housewares transformed into valuable works of functional art.
