Do you love children, reading, and helping others? We have an opening on our highly desirable Storytime team. Each storytime at the Downtown Eugene Public Library has a volunteer assistant who helps set up the room (blankets on the floor, age-appropriate toys and books, etc.), greets children and their grown-ups, counts attendance, answer questions such as "where is the bathroom?", and helps clean up the room after.
Our current opening is in our "Walkers Storytime" on Thursdays from 9:45 - 11:45 a.m.
Those interested can inquire through VolunteerMatch.org and will be required to complete a volunteer application, do a "try-out", and complete a background check. Volunteer applications can be emailed to you, picked up at the Information Desk of the Downtown Eugene Public Library, or found on our website at: https://www.eugene-or.gov/3135/Volunteer.
