Is it true that you want to volunteer for a good cause?
Is it also true true that you don't want to see community members go hungry everyday?

Food Bank for the Heartland (FBFH)'s mission is to distribute emergency and supplemental food to those low income and hungry community members in Western Iowa and Nebraska. If the mission of FBFH makes more sense to you, please join mission driven FBFH paid staff and volunteers to put food on the tables of many more low income and hungry community members

You will be well trained to do your volunteer job, and you will have the opportunity to put your experience on your resume, and also a professional reference from nationally recognized non profit organization, the Food Bank for the Heartland upon your request.

Volunteer Position Description

Brief Description of Organization

SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as the food stamp program. SNAP Outreach is a cooperative effort through Food Bank for the Heartland and the Food Bank of Lincoln. In fiscal year 2017, our outreach specialists helped more than 7,500 Nebraska households receive benefits. SNAP provides $241 million back to Nebraska’s economy.
