As part of our homeless ministries and community outreach we are currently ministering to a growing number of the 4,000 people living on the South of Market and Tenderloin areas.
Volunteers are needed in helping us with serving hot food, assist with clothing distribution, providing haircuts and nail care, perform foot washing, and help with various other tasks. Individuals and/or group volunteers are welcome to join us, we are in need of 150 volunteers!
At 9am when you come in for registration, you will be able to choose where you would like to serve. A brief orientation will be held at 9:30am, doors are open for our guests at 10:30 am and we finish at 2pm .

Cityteam is a nondenominational Christian nonprofit compassionately serving the poor, the homeless, and the lost in San Jose, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, and around the world.
Cityteam San Francisco is located in the heart of the Tenderloin, and is one of the only shelters, feeding and recovery programs south of Market. Volunteers and donors often tell me that they didn’t realize how much Cityteam does to help homeless people on the streets, the elderly that live in SROs and those suffering from addiction.
Yes, San Francisco’s homeless crisis and lack of affordable housing is at an all-time high, but we have a BIG God and nothing is impossible with Him. We have been blessed to witness countless lives changed. We are grateful to local partners, donors and volunteers that have a heart for serving those in need with dignity and grace.
