We need your help publicizing the 2019 Valentine Run/Walk, Race for Justice! Our event brings about 1,200 runners/walkers and we need your help spreading the word!
We are seeking "valenteers" to help distribute our promotional magnets during various races in Sacramento. Volunteers can pick up necessary Valentine Run magnets from our executive office and place them on car doors throughout the parking lot of local races. We need help posting our promotional magnets at the following races:
- November 21: Run to Feed the Hungry, Sacramento, CA
- December 2: California International Marathon, Sacramento, CA
- December 9: Jungle Bell Run, Sacramento, CA
***Important note*** Please include in your message the which races you can distribute our promotional magnets. Volunteers will be performing these tasks independently and with little or no supervision. Any volunteers under the age of 18 must have their parent sign a volunteer consent form when picking up the magnets from our executive office in Downtown Sacramento.
Our Race for Justice supports Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC), which provides legal aid to thousands of low income, vulnerable, and/or senior citizens in 23 Northern California counties.

Mission Statement
The mission of Legal Services of Northern California is to provide quality legal services to empower the poor to identify and defeat the causes and effects of poverty within our community, efficiently utilizing all available resources.
Description
For over 60 years Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) has been fighting for the civil rights of our clients. LSNC is the strong voice that continues to speak out on behalf of our clients living in our communities, even as the state and local "safety nets" for the poor continue to crumble.
Every February, LSNC is proud to present the annual Valentine Run/Walk, a classic Sacramento event for individuals and families of all ages and abilities. The Valentine Run/Walk is kid friendly, stroller friendly and canine-companion friendly! Participants are encouraged to wear their hearts on their sleeves, socks, tutus, onesies; and collars to compete for best dressed awards and to show their love of the Valentine Run/Walk. Enjoy either a 1.8 mile untimed course or the 4 mile course, which can be timed or untimed, that meanders through the Arden Park neighborhood behind Country Club Plaza Mall. After the run, enjoy refreshments, entertainment, vendors; and of course a festive Awards Ceremony.
Proceeds from the Valentine Run/Walk are directed where the need is greatest and help sustain LSNC’s services that empower the low income and help secure basic needs such as access to health care and a safe place to live.
