ORGANIZATION: The Honeycomb Project

MUST VOLUNTEER WITH YOUR KIDS!!!

Join us at Heartland Alliance's FarmWorks site in East Garfield Park to grow fresh produce for neighborhood families. Learn how this innovative urban farm tackles both food insecurity and unemployment.

Our Goal

Nearly 29% of Chicagoans lived in poverty last year. Because of tough choices and limited resources, many families have to skip meals or cut back on the quality or quantity of food they purchase to make ends meet. Your works in the farm helps families stay healthy and supports the farm’s innovative job training program.
