Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity is in need of a construction crew chiefs. These individuals will oversee construction activities for the day at a house build site. A crew chief will work closely with the Construction Board member and volunteer manager. This person will be in charge of handing out assignments for the day, as well as learning and teaching construction skills to others. They would be required to stay on site during their shift and be sure that all volunteers are working safely.

Description

Niagara Habitat for Humanity has been building homes since 1993. To date we have built 22 houses and will be soon ground breaking on our 23rd house. We are currently building in the Echota Neighborhood of Niagara Falls as well as North Tonawanda.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
  • At least one construction shift per month which lasts between 4 - 8 hours. We would prefer that the crew chief would commit to more than one shift per month.
  • Must watch safety video, sign liability waiver and wear hard soled shoes.
