Dinner is served restaurant-style, with menus and round-table seating. This community event offers a fun activity for those wanting to connect with others with a good meal, a movie, and one another's company. Some of our neighbors in the Tenderloin live in Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotels, others are at nearby shelters, and still others are un-housed and living on the streets. All are welcome at City Hope!
Volunteering
City Hope prepares the meal. Volunteers will serve meals by bringing the plated food to the person at their table--restaurant style. After dinner volunteers will bring a coffee cart table to table and serve coffee and a dessert to guests who want it. As our guests are leaving, volunteers clean the room, wipe down tables, sweep, take the trash out, or bring bus trays to the kitchen staff.

Mission Statement
City Hope is the living room for those without enough living space in the Tenderloin. We provide a trusted gathering place and creatively offer as many elements of home as possible for our neighbors on the margins.
Description
City Hope Community Center is a living room for those without enough living space. It is the dignity of bathrooms and hot showers, basic human necessities like a toothbrush or socks. It is a healthy home-cooked meal, prepared and served to you by those who know and care about you. It’s a place where we have fun, a place to laugh even when you’re struggling. We play games, watch movies, and even sing to each other (join us for karaoke!). City Hope is a trusted gathering place, a center for the community.
