Looking for an opportunity to get outdoors, gain knowledge and skills, and be an ecological steward to Austin's one and only McKinney Falls State Park? We have some very exciting projects on the horizon, and we need your help!


Current projects:
-Trail maintenance
-Invasive species removal
-Removing litter and debris
-Construction of new trails

Join us every 2nd Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm. Please RSVP.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends of McKinney Falls State Park is to serve as responsible stewards of the cultural and natural resources, support educational programs, and foster an inclusive environment for present and future generations. We will do this by giving our time, our talent, and our financial support to McKinney Falls State Park.

Description

The friends group is a community of like-minded individuals who work together with Texas Parks and Wildlife for the shared vision of protecting and conserving this natural space for future generations. We want visitors to enjoy the unique experience McKinney Falls has to offer and inspire a lifelong appreciation and respect for nature and the legacy of Texas history.

Our goal is to build a network of support for Austin’s only State Park through volunteer work, fundraising, and giving back to the community. Each of our members brings a different set of skills and experiences to the table. There are many opportunities to help. So join us today!
