Volunteers are an important component of the Adventure Science Center team! They are a dedicated group of individuals who serve a vital role in helping us achieve our mission. Volunteers have the opportunity to get involved with Adventure Science Center through a variety of volunteer shifts and assignments. From guest services and planetarium shows, to assisting with programs and events, there is a place for everyone!

VOLUNTEER
Volunteers work alongside Adventure Science Center staff and educators while assisting with daily operations, programs, and special events.
Requirements:
- Minimum 14 years of age
- Submit a Volunteer Application
- Complete a Background Check (18+)
- Complete 25-hours of service during a 6-month commitment
- Attend a Volunteer Orientation
- Attend training courses for your position

Description
Adventure Science Center is an independent, not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to igniting curiosity and inspiring the lifelong discovery of science since 1945. With 44,000 square feet of exhibit space, the Center features nearly 175 hands-on exhibits focused on biology, physics, visual perception, listening, mind, air and space, energy and earth science.
Our award-winning programs include daily science demonstrations, Discovery Cart activities, workshops, lectures, camps, Science Cafes and other special events. The Sudekum Planetarium features state-of-the-art digital projection and surround sound to present programs on a wide range of sciences, history, culture and laser shows.
Serving more than 300,000 people annually, Adventure Science Center continues to be a premier attraction and learning center for visitors throughout Middle Tennessee and far beyond.
