Children in Placement-CT, Inc.
Children in Placement is a non profit agency working with local volunteers throughout Connecticut to advocate for abused and neglected children in the child welfare system.
Our Youth Sponsors serve as a steady consistent support to youth 13 - 24 years of age that have been in foster care without a permanent placement, multiple placements, or who are close to or are aging out and for whom adoption is no longer wanted or a viable choice. Youth Sponsors are a caring, supportive adult who is in it for the long haul, willing to guide and nurture the youth. The sponsor works with the young adult to focus on positive youth development, youth driven activities and the development of core competencies (decision making, problem solving, how to access services). The mission of Children in Placement is to facilitate effective judicial review of children and families involved in court proceedings where neglect, abuse, and other risks are alleged in order to promote a safe, permanent home for children in Connecticut.
Children in Placement-CT, Inc. is a non-profit organization that trains local volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in foster care. We have been helping the children of Connecticut since 1979.
