We are seeking a French and/or Flemish speaking volunteer to visit with an older adult on the Upper East Side as part of our Friendly Visiting Program. She is a lovely woman who is homebound but wants someone to visit with her weekdays between 1 and 5 p.m.

For this volunteer position, we are looking for volunteers 18 and over that have a valid US social security number.

Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
