If you have a few hours a week that you would like to donate to help others and you want something that is more rewarding than anything you will ever do in your life; we have a opportunity for you. We are looking for caring, compassionate people who are willing to spend time with hospice patients, offering them companionship. You may read to them, sing with them, hold their hand, listen to them tell about their life, do craft projects with them or maybe just sit next to them in silence for support. OR maybe you are a musician and would like to play for a hospice patient (music therapy). We also are looking for cosmetologist who would be interested in cutting hair for our patients at no charge.
If you don't feel like you can visit with people -- that is okay -- we also need people who would like to make weekly phone calls or help in the office with administrative tasks. There is room for everyone.
The time needed, for any volunteer, can be 1-3 hours a week -- give or take -- depends on your schedule. Training will be provided to all. If you are interested or would like more information -- please call Access Hospice at 417-332-3510 and talk with Anne.

Description
We are looking for compassionate, caring people who want an opportunity to help others in needs. This could mean reading to a patient -- sitting and listening about their life -- singing with them -- running errands for them -- doing crafts with them -- holding their hand -- or helping in the office with administrative duties. If you want to help others in your community -- we want to talk with you. We are a small hospice that is growing but still personal in our care and our beliefs.
