Join Vigorous Young Minds this year to make a difference in a young entrepreneur’s life. Our opportunities are fun, easy ways to enjoy meeting new people while having more meaning in your life. Want to do something that is satisfying and of great service to our youth? Then become a Vigorous Young Minds volunteer!
Part-time cashier volunteers are needed to take orders, operate a point-of-sale system (POS), cash handling and order fulfillment. Qualifications include minimum age of 18, food handlers and TABC certifications, ability to work independently and as part of a team, cash handling, and capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Most importantly your awesome hospitality skills and desire to help aspiring youth will support Vigorous Young Minds raise funds to build entrepreneurship programs for Houston and surrounding area youth. Mission Statement
Our target group is boys and girls ages 10-18 who are members of the community. The youth come from local churches and other community activities without regard to race, religion or sexual orientation.
Description
We will provide mentoring from talks from community leaders, celebrity guest, and local educators, counselors, and youth leaders. Mentoring categories include: career and education options, bullying etiquette on social media, student expectations, citizenship as well as issues the youth want to address in their various group activities set aside for the purpose.
