Encouragement, friendship, a listening ear, hands to help, music, animal assisted therapy, massage therapy, playing games, light housekeeping, respite care, words of comfort, 11th hour, Veteran to Veteran, life review & reminiscence ~ what is your gift to share with someone during their end of life hospice journey? Death does not happen until the last day. At Agape Hospice & Palliative Care, we want to help people have "more good days".Volunteers are a primary member of the hospice team. If you would like to learn more, please contact me for additional information. Our next volunteer training begins Saturday, 11/10/18. We serve people "wherever they call home" ALL ALONG THE FRONT RANGE (north to Longmont and south to Castle Rock).A volunteer is able to support a patient and/or family close to wherever you may live. The Agape Hospice Volunteer Team creates ongoing opportunities for community members to share their gifts and talents with those at the end of their life and for those grieving the death of a loved one.
Description
Agape Hospice Services' team of highly trained professionals and volunteers work together to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families facing a life-limiting illness. As a volunteer, you could provide companionship for a patient, respite for a caregiver, outreach for your community or office support. Agape Hospice offers opportunities for you to share your unique gifts and talents wherever you may live. In depth training for all positions is provided at no cost.
