Do you love movies? We would love to have your help in planning, scheduling, promoting and hosting this fun weekly event at North Davis Senior Center in Clearfield. Movies are shown each Thursday, beginning at 12:00 noon.
In this position you'll select the films to be shown from varied sources - library rentals, online streaming or even your own personal collection. You'll also produce promotional flyers to be displayed in the senior center, get the popcorn machine going, and introduce each film. If you have other ideas for adding to the fun, we would love your input.
This volunteer opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the volunteer station, as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving.

Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
