We provide intensive case management services to people who are exiting incarceration and often have substance abuse/mental health/physical health issues. If you have social service skills and want to help provide services to ex-offenders reentering the community from jails or residential treatment programs, this volunteer position is the right choice for you.
We are looking for someone to support our city-contracted or state contracts case managers to offer further services, mentoring and support. Volunteers in case management support roles may attend client meetings, appointments for services, court dates, etc. Giving back to help make our community safer is a very noble cause to support and we are always happy to have dedicated volunteers to help us at the agency.
We need quality people who can commit to a set schedule for a reasonable amount of time. All potential employees and volunteers must be able to pass a live scan background check and have a current negative TB test result, do CPR and first aid training to be considered for this position. Description
RSN has been providing peer-to-peer recovery services since 1996 to ex-offenders, low-income families, at-risk-youth, the homelsss, and veterans. We have a state approved basic computer training program and we are on the ETPL training providers list. We provide emotional, motivational and soft skills support and are part of the SF Welfare-to-Work programs. Our success rate is very good and we need volunteers to help us continue serving the less fortunate members of our community.
