Community Corporation is a nonprofit organization that builds, manages and restores affordable housing for people of modest means. We currently serve approximately 4,000 households in Santa Monica. We have a variety of service programs to enrich the lives of our residents. We are looking for chefs to come in on occasion to do a cooking demonstration or class to teach our residents how to harvest fresh food from our gardens and cook with it. Flexible as to when, whatever works with your schedule, ideally evening or weekend.

Description
Community Corporation of Santa Monica is a locally based, non-profit organization committed to developing and managing affordable housing in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. A key mission of the organization is to provide housing to lower wage working families. Since its inception in 1982, CCSM has developed over 1500 units of permanent affordable housing in Santa Monica. It currently provides housing to approximately 3,300 people.
In 2006 its Resident Services Department began providing referral services, group workshops and presentations, onsite programming and community outreach. CCSM uses its On-Site Resident Services Volunteer Program as a means of engaging and improving the quality of life of these residents.
