The Science Center is looking for individuals or groups to volunteer for a sewing project. We are currently making plans for our upcoming fort making exhibit on the 3rd floor that will run from November 9 - January 27. This really fun exhibit will allow visitors to make amazing blanket forts by attaching blankets and sheets to furniture, doors, and other structures in the space. We need your help!
All of the blankets and sheets need loops sewn on the corners to help our guests attached them to doorknobs and hooks as they build their blanket forts. Volunteers are needed to sew these loops onto the blankets.
This project can be completed any day and time of the week during normal business hours.
We will also host a Sewing Day at the Science Center on Tuesday, October 30 at 10am. Please RSVP to jenna.dixon@louisvilleky.gov if you would like to volunteer for the sewing day.
