The Barnes Memorial Nature Center

Volunteers Needed for Family Trail Maintenance Day on Sunday, November 11th from 1-4 pm at the Harry C. Barnes Memorial Nature Center, 175 Shrub Road.

We will be working on the White Blazed Trail putting down mulch, creating small bridges/walkways over wet areas, trimming overgrown shrubs and moving any downed tree branches.

Suitable for families with kids 12 and up.

Description

Environmental Learning Center of Connecticut, ELCCT, offers a diversity of hands-on experiential programs using a variety of resources and facilities. Our programs are offered at the Barnes Nature Center, Indian Rock Nature Preserve and in the schools of Connecticut. We annually provided our environmental educational programs to over 25,000 children and families from over 70 Connecticut communities! In addition to our education programs, ELCCT also serves as a land trust and has protected over 750 acres of land in Bristol and Burlington, Connecticut. We encourage you to get involved.
