BE AN ALLY AND STAND WITH IMMIGRANTS!
Claudia has been an active member of Workers Defense Project since 2014. She currently serves on WDP’s board of directors as the vice president. She originally came to WDP seeking help after an employer refused to pay her for electrical work she did at a grocery store in 2014.
Claudia has since resolved her wage claim, although she has yet to receive full payment. She has remained an active member of the organization. Claudia also has been checking in with ICE since October 2014.
DEMONSTRATE SOLIDARITY
Show a valued member of your community that you stand with them and the immigrant community!
- We need volunteers to come with us to Claudia's ICE visit and hold signs of support for her outside the office on October 26th.
- A solidarity breakfast will be held at our office at 6:30am at 11001 Midway Rd, Dallas, TX 75229.
- We will then head to her visit at the ICE office in Dallas at 8am.

Description
WDP is a worker center and part of a national movement of organizations that seek to provide low-wage workers with the resources they need to improve their working and living conditions. The project provides a source of power and hope for low-wage workers who have little access to these important resources. WDP is one of the few organizations in Texas working to address workplace abuse faced by low-wage workers. The organization is one of the most established worker centers in the South and a leader in fighting for fair conditions for working people.
