We are looking for volunteers who can place posters up around Columbia. Area is not limited to but includes Devine Street, Main Street, The Vista, West Columbia and surrounding areas with good foot traffic. You can put the posters up on your own schedule, but poster distributing must be completed by November 29.
We also have some additional opportunities to volunteer throughout the community before the New Year's Eve to help us spread the word about FHNY and to recruit additional volunteers, including:
· Devine Night Out - November 8, 4:30-8 p.m.
· Vista Lights - November 15, 4:45 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
· First Thursday on Main - December 6, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
· Soda City Market - December 15, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
· Soda City Market - December 29, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Description
Famously Hot New Year has grown to become South Carolina’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration, with a free, evening-length concert by a national headliner and the most colossal NYE fireworks display in the two Carolinas, adjacent to the historic S.C. State House on downtown Columbia, S.C.’s Main Street. Since 2011, Famously Hot New Year has gathered diverse communities to enjoy the free concert and fireworks; regional food vendors; plentiful cash bars with beer, wine and bubbly; a festival atmosphere; free parking and more in the "New Southern Hot Spot."
