ORGANIZATION: Learning to Work

Supporting Post 15 students in their vision, understanding of budgets and finance at the same time as raising awareness of the World of Opportunities with Maths related careers.

There is nothing to prepare we are just hoping to bring the world of work into school to showcase how skills learnt can be used in the workplace. The purpose of the event is to introduce students to the importance of finance, and develop their knowledge on the many career paths open to them in maths-related sectors.

We will be completing a number of tasks throughout the session; your role will be to support and mentor the students with these tasks.

The event will end with a Q&A session where students will be able to quiz you, the business volunteers, on your individual career pathways, and develop their understanding of how maths can help them succeed in their future career.

We appreciate that this cuts into the working day but hope that volunteering in schools is beneficial to both you and your business, showing your support to the future talent in the area.
