Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: NYC Parks Stewardship Program

Join the NYC Parks Stewardship Team, the Natural Areas Conservancy and REI as we team up to care for the trails of Inwood Hill Park! Volunteers will work to clear out Belgian block drains along the park’s Orange and Blue trails. This project will improve drainage and reduce erosion concerns in Manhattan’s last remaining natural forest. The volunteer project will then be followed by a guided hike through Inwood’s forest led by REI. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.
