Currently, 1 out of 3 Firefighters will be diagnosed with cancer! This is a national epidemic unknown to the public and we must help!!
The #1 cause of line of duty deaths is a result of cancer. This is unacceptable for the professionals that risk their lives to save us daily.
Hoods For Heroes is looking for a volunteer coordinators and volunteers that can assist with:
1. Working with a team of volunteers to create a public and business awareness campaign
2. Coordinating community events with Firefighters and local businesses
3. Helping to manage local and national fundraising programs
4. Helping to develop a fire station support team
Hoods for Heroes is a national, registered non profit located in Orange Park Florida. Our mission is to provide Firefighters with chemical blocking hoods that help to drastically reduce cancer.
Work in or out of the office. Located in Orange Park Florida.

Description
Hoods for Heroes was founded to bring awareness to the cancer epidemic in Fire Service. Currently, 70% of all line of duty deaths are from cancer and cancer related illnesses. Firefighters are diagnosed with cancer at a much higher rate than the general public and Hoods For Heroes raises money to provide grants that will allow Firefighters access to equipment that will reduce their exposure to harmful chemical up to 98%.
