Join us at our pop- up markets where we, in in partnership with Capital Area Food Bank, bring food, health, joy, and fun to elementary schools in Washington, DC.
Martha’s Table launched Joyful Food Markets to increase access to and encourage consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables east of the Anacostia River.
At our pop-up market, volunteers assist families with shopping for FREE fresh, seasonal produce and healthy pantry staples. Volunteers also assist with chef-led culinary demonstrations designed to spread the joy of healthy eating. As a market volunteer, you’ll assist with curating a vibrant and joyful space for shopping, support demos of healthy, market-inspired recipes, assist children and families with choosing and learning about fruits and vegetables, and more!
