Many of our clients face very difficult challenges and barriers to career success including domestic abuse, mental illness, and substance abuse. Our volunteer Confidence Coaches work in a team environment and focus on encouraging our clients with a strengths-based and healing-centered approach. Confidence Coaches are not mental health therapists but may refer clients to mental health resources if needed. Coaches start by attending our bi-weekly Wednesday night Coach meeting led by Licensed Social Worker Deb Sauder and our Personal Success Plan sessions held every other week to assess client coaching needs and readiness. On average coaches volunteer 3-5 hours a month but can do more or less based on personal and professional schedules. You will help our clients to best strategize their job searches and career advancement by creating and updating their resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, job applications, practice interviewing, negotiating salaries and benefits, and provide mentoring once they land a job to ensure they keep that job and continue to develop their career. All Success Center Coaches start their training by doing check-in calls with our current and past clients. Google Voice app is required, training provided. Coaching appointments are flexible based on your and the client’s schedules.

Weekly coach meetings occur on Mondays at 930 AM CST and Wednesdays at 6 PM CST.
