About Friends of the Pleasant Valley Library

Mission Statement
The Friends of the Pleasant Valley Free Library is a volunteer group dedicated to promoting the use of the Library’s resources, programs, and services. Aware that our Library enhances our community, we work closely with our Library Director and staff, as well as our Board of Trustees, to support and advance our Library. One way we do this is by purchasing needed materials and equipment. These purchases allow our Library to function on a minimum of tax dollars. Our income derives from Friend fundraisers such as Book Sales and Mah Jongg Tournaments as well as projects such as yard and plant sales. We’re happy to encourage gifts and contributions. The Friends donate their time sorting books for our book sales, running those sales, and teaching some classes. Importantly, they also help to promote our Library through their support and enthusiasm for our Library’s mission*.
Description
We encourage you to join us. Our group is always open to new people and new ideas. Becoming a Friend will introduce you to a wonderful and friendly group of people- as well as lots of new book and movie titles. This is your opportunity to meet and connect with others while supporting your Library.
