Description: Keeping a large hospital up and running takes a whole team of people, and they aren't just nurses and doctors! If you're interested in learning about the behind-the-scenes aspects of a hospital or want to volunteer but are not interested in the patient side of things, this is for you!

As the cornerstone of the supply network, the supply distribution center plays a pivotal role in the order fulfillment process. Supply chain management is a difficult task though, given the many stocks, orders, and customers clamoring for their products. ... Fortunately, the distribution volunteer is there to meet customer needs throughout the hospital! Qualifications: Volunteers in this assignment must:
1. Must be able to safely lift up to 20 pounds maximum (10-20 pounds frequently, and 1-10 lbs routinely)
2. Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time (2-4 hours)
3. Has good hearing and listening skills.
4. Possesses a clear speaking voice and the ability to communicate clearly in English.
5. Good manual dexterity. Disclaimer: Disclaimer: Our volunteer assignments are on-going, we ask that our volunteers commit to volunteering once a week (2-4 hours) for at least 6 months to ensure a positive impact to our hospital. The volunteer shifts listed are all of the possible shifts for the assignment, please check with Volunteer Services for more information.
