Sponsorship Chair

Serves as recruiting sponsors/vendors and building current relationships

Responsible To: Event Chair

Staff Lead: Ileah Vazquez

Length of Commitment: 7 months (August 2018 to March 2019)

Event Goal : $25,00 Sponsor and Vendor Goal: $11,500

Responsibilities:

• Work with staff partner and committee members to compile a list of potential sponsors and vendors to meet sponsorship goal
• Secure sponsors and vendors to meet sponsorship goal
• Work with Logistics Chair to strategically place vendors in event area
• Report progress to Event Chair
• Attend Stroll 'N’ Roll event the morning of March 9, 2019
• Follow up with sponsors with hand written thank you note
• Work with staff to ensure logos are received in timely manner

Skills Required:

• Outgoing; good communication and people skills
• Ability to ask people for sponsorships and vendor booths
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good organizational and follow-through skills
• The desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities by being a part of a passionate and energetic planning committee

Time Requirement:

• 4 - 6 Hours per month on average
• Monthly one-hour meetings with committee

Impact:

• Raise critical funds to support the programs necessary to accomplish that goal of equality
• Make a positive impact in the lives of those with disabilities
• Network with high-impact community leaders
• Develop and enhance current leadership and management skills
• Gain valuable experience to enhance personal and career growth
