Food and Beverage Chair
Serves as securing delicious and nutritious breakfast food & beverage
Responsible To: Event Chair
Staff Lead: Ileah Vazquez
Length of Commitment: 7 months (August 2018 to March 2019)
Event Goal: $25,000
Responsibilities:
- Work with committee and staff contacts for potential in-kind food & beverage donors
- Secure food & beverage items for walk participants and volunteers
- Report progress to Event Chair
- Attend Stroll 'N’ Roll event the morning of March 9, 2019
- Follow up with donors with hand written thank you note
- Train volunteers to clean up breakfast area and restock when necessary
- Ensure all in-kind donors receive recognition; work with staff to ensure logos are received in timely manner
Skills Required:
- A love for scrumptious food and beverage
- Outgoing; good communication and people skills
- Ability to ask people for donations
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and follow-through skills
- The desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities by being a part of a passionate and energetic planning committee
Time Requirement:
- 4 - 5 Hours per month on average
- Monthly one-hour meetings with committee
