Thank you so much for your interest in the Chapel Hill Service League’s 68th Annual Christmas House-a Chapel Hill area tradition since 1950. With the generous support of our community, parents and guardians attend a one-day shopping spree to select new toys, books and coats for their children. Christmas House provides gifts for more than 840 local children, all from families referred by Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Orange County school social workers as being most in need of assistance.

We need volunteers December 5- December 7, in the heart of Chapel Hill. For security reasons, we do not publicize the event location. You will receive the location, parking details and instructions after you have signed up.

Thursday, December 5 Heavy Lifting Day (2:30pm - 6:00pm) Tasks include moving furniture, clearing rooms for set-up and placing tables, book shelves and racks in place.

Friday, December 6 Set Up Day (8:00am - 4:00pm) Tasks include unpacking and arranging books, coats and toys.

Saturday, December 7 (Christmas House Day) (7:30am - 6:00pm) Tasks include restocking toys, coats and books, assisting Christmas House guests and clean up after the event.

Volunteers may sign up for one or more two-hour shifts over as many days as they would like. We also provide a wonderful buffet lunch! You will have an opportunity to select your desired shift location, by day and time at http://www.chapelhillserviceleague.com/christmas-house.
