Help us end American poverty. Use your UX UI skills to design and optimize screen designs, navigation for the prototype of a web accessed program that will engage American 16-19-year-olds in the information they need to become financially successful. The goal is to finish the prototype is by November.

App to Succeed, Inc. a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization is looking for UX/ UI designers to develop and optimize screen designs, research designs and navigation as needed. Using a flat vector design theme, create UX designs that provide a state-of-the-art user experience .

Choose from assignments that will require competency in;

  • quantitative and qualitative research using online surveys or moderate focus groups
  • collaboration the UX and UI team volunteers to find best solutions.
  • development, evaluation and /or improvement of all visual and navigation elements of the to complete the prototype.
  • optimization of navigation and content flow
  • refining visual communication
  • user empathy
  • interaction design
  • using approved colors, and style guide to design prototype for maximum visual appeal
  • using analytics where appropriate
  • communication skills
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Sketch
  • Proficient in sharing tool, Figma
  • Have UX UI career experience.
  • Prefer established career as a UX UI designer.
  • Competency in the UX research and UI design skills listed above.
  • Willing to build off existing style guide and completed Screens for Segment one to develop compatible and effective designs.
  • Ability to meet weekly with UXUI team using teleconference, meeting time, Mondays, at 8:15 p.m. EST
  • Ability to communicate with Slack (if you are not familiar with Slack, don't worry, it is easy to learn)
Compensation:

We regret as a young nonprofit we are not yet able to pay our volunteers, but we do offer other forms of compensation.
  • Those who fulfill their volunteer commitment will have their name posted on our website page to acknowledge the time and talents they contributed.
  • Those who exceed expectations and make a significant contribution to the project will receive a personal letter of reference, written by the CEO
  • Certificates for volunteers who have fulfilled their commitment or exceed expectations will be provided upon request.
  • Virtual option saves the time and expense of commuting.
  • Hours are flexible to accommodate your schedule.
  • Start and end dates are somewhat flexible.

Description

To date our organization is 100% volunteers. Over 470 professionals, graduate students, and college graduates with expertise in technical and creative fields have been working virtually to design and develop a best-in-class online experience for 16-19-year-olds Americans. It is part simulation, video game, and entertainment and is highly interactive and engaging. Each teen's experience is personalized to their interests, goals, abilities and learning styles. Teens will learn more than a semester course in personal finance through this experience. For more information visit www.ApptoSucceed.org. Make a difference and help this upcoming generation to become financially successful regardless of their current circumstances and trends that will challenge them financially.
