Children’s Foundation of America is seeking a Communications Intern to help create content for social media, blogs, video, printed materials and more to raise awareness, funds and volunteerism to support children who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment. (This is an unpaid internship. College credit must be coordinated with the student and school.)

What We Do:
Organize fundraising events, awareness campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and holiday/back-to-school drives to support children in foster care and other at-risk youth. Visit our website to learn more: www.ChildrensFoundationOfAmerica.org
Key Responsibilities:
-Promote awareness of the Foundation’s mission, opportunities and events
-Develop materials for social media, online articles, press releases, and newsletters
-Assist with volunteer and fundraising events as needed
-Administrative tasks including data entry, inventory and letter writing
Qualifications:
-Current student or graduate of a Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Proficiency in some of the following: Social Media, Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress, Photography, Marketing Campaigns, Speaking on Camera, Filming Video, Video Editing, PowerPoint, Prezi or Canva, PR Writing, Voiceover/Radio Spots
Time Commitment:
Must be willing to commit 4 to 6 hours per week. Hours are flexible and will be determined directly with the intern selected.
