We're gearing up for another great season of planting in the Ohop! But before we can put any trees in the ground, we need help placing plants in appropriate spots. The Nisqually River Education Project brings school groups from all over Pierce and Thurston Counties to help plant on our properties. By placing these plants beforehand, we can ensure that native trees and shrubs are planted in areas that best suit their growing needs. This preparation increases survival rates and is an important step in the recovery of Ohop Valley!

The Nisqually Land Trust acquires and manages critical lands to permanently benefit the water, wildlife, and people of the Nisqually River Watershed.
Description
The Nisqually Land Trust is a non-profit organization that acquires, maintains, and restores important lands along the Nisqually River to viable habitat for salmon and other wildlife.
It was established in 1989 to protect wildlife habitat threatened by the consequences of rapid population growth. Today it conserves and restores over 5,000 acres throughout the Nisqually River watershed.
