Update 10/3/19: This work party is CANCELLED due to the rainy and chilly weather forecast. May be rescheduled for October 12.
Support our reforestation efforts in the Baraboo Hills by monitoring the success of previous tree plantings at locations including Baxter’s Hollow and Pine Hollow. Volunteer work parties in the Baraboo Hills help maintain Nature Conservancy preserves in this unique landscape of quartzite bluffs and large contiguous forests.
Meet at the Hwy 12 pull-off parking at 9:00 a.m., and we’ll split up in teams and drive to the work sites from there. After the work is done, we usually eat lunch/snacks together before heading home.
Work Party Leader: Sherren Clark, 608-225-2974 or sclark99@outlook.com
What to Bring/Wear: Dress for the weather and wear long pants, work gloves, and clothes that can get dirty if you have them. Please bring water. We'll provide the necessary tools.
Directions: Take Hwy 12 north from Sauk City or south from Baraboo to a pull-off on the east side of the highway at the top of the south bluff, south of the intersection with Ski Hi Rd. We will meet at the pull-off and drive together to the work sites.
