Use your guitar skills to encourage and uplift people on Sunday mornings. Commit to one Wednesday/Sunday combination each month and have fun in the process.
Responsibility To: Director of Worship Arts
Time Required: 4-6 hours per week (on weeks when scheduled)
Purpose: To assist in facilitating praise and worship for Sunday services at Prairie Lutheran Church.
Tasks:
- To be a support for the Director of Worship Arts by following
his/her lead during worship (fast, slow, etc.)
- Learning and memorizing songs.
- Being early for sound checks. (must be ready 45 minutes
before service starts)
- Attending rehearsals. (must attend all regularly
scheduled rehearsals)
- Responsible for playing in such a way as to not
draw attention to one's self.
Length of Service: Negotiable
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- A heart for worshiping God.
- Ability to play guitar well.
- Must be able to model worship.
- Must be able to follow worship team leader's direction.
- Must have a church home, or be open to joining Prairie Lutheran.
Training:
- Worship Team Practice.
- Daily individual practice.
- On the job training, conferences, books, and CDs/DVDs/podcasts relating to job function.
- Worship Team Retreat.
Support: Fellow Worship Team Members, Director of Worship Arts. Pastor
available for individual needs with an appointment.

Prairie Lutheran Church is a vibrant congregation made up of people with diverse beliefs. At our core, what holds us together is Jesus Christ. As a congregation that leans towards a Lutheran core we emphasize grace, forgiveness, and the cross. We also emphasize the evangelical nature of the Gospel.
