Morecare Hospice volunteers enhance the quality of life by providing different types of support to hospice patients and their loved ones. This can include friendly visits, chats, conversation, life reviews, etc. Volunteers focus on what is important to the individual patient, perhaps reading, playing music, playing games, sharing memories or participating in a special hobby.
Please know that our hospice volunteers do not provide hands-on care; often the most important thing they do is just "be there" for patients to reassure them they are not alone, to offer a smile, or to just listen. The personal rewards are enormous, and volunteers usually feel they gain more than they have been able to give.
Our patients are SWEETHEARTS and are located in Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach, CA.
Our training program comprehensive yet easy, and at your own pace. Once you are trained and appropriate paperwork completed, you can set your own visit times.

- 2-4 visits per month, or more if you like. Each visit lasts approximately 1 hour.
