Join the City of Raleigh as we create a new landscape design around the firefighter memorial in Nash Square.
Volunteer Impact: We will be helping to update the landscaping around the firefighter memorial in Nash Square. We will be enhancing the memorial to honor those we have lost.
Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will use hand trowels to dig holes to plant new plants. We will then lay down some mulch as well.
Work Environment: We will be working outside so there is the possibility of uneven ground. Volunteers will be kneeling, or sitting on the ground and possibly having to bend down to reach into landscape beds. There is a restroom on site. Volunteers will have to park downtown.
Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer. All volunteers will need to sign a release form. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian sign their form as well.
Special Instructions: Volunteers will need to park downtown. To find more information about parking please visit: https://www.godowntownraleigh.com/get-around/parking
**Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering a group, please email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov . We require a list of names and their email addresses to hold spots for groups.*
