Interested in giving back on Thanksgiving!
Haven House provides Thanksgiving dinner for our families by 5:30pm. All the ingredients will be here for you and any recipes you might need.
We serve dinner for up to 30 people so 2-5 volunteers would be sufficient to prepare the meal. It is best to arrive around 11am-12pm to make sure the meal is ready on time. We receive pre-cooked ingredients generally so you will not have to prepare a raw turkey, but will have multiple turkeys, sides and desserts to warm through.
Families are welcome to volunteer together and enjoy the feast with our clients:)

Time may vary depending on how volunteers would like to prepare the meal. Prep time is up to the volunteers as long as the meal is ready by 5:30pm.

Haven House has provided temporary shelter for homeless families since 1983. Over the years, the scope of our programs and services has increased dramatically. Not only do we support our clients with basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing, and personal needs items, but we have developed programs that will make an impact on the lives of our families after they have left our shelter.
Giving our clients the opportunity to improve their lives through goal setting, training, and education enables them to become more productive and less apt to become homeless in the future.
