2 hours visits with an assigned handful of residents. Pass out flowers, warm blankets, magazines or cards. We match you with residents who light up when visited by others. You will visit the same residents in an ongoing fashion to encourage rewarding connections over time. You will learn the residents likes and dislikes and attend some activities with them, such as holiday and birthday parties, games, bingos and musical entertainment. Great for afterschool service hours needed in highschool and college. Good resume builder when working toward health care, human services such as social work or nursing degree. St. Francis Home owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saginaw exists to help older persons to live their final years of life in the light of faith. Our primary goal is to provide healing of body heart and soul such that our residents attain heaven.
Description
We are a Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility in Saginaw offering a faith based approach to healing. We have residents from all backgrounds and from all over Michigan. We have residents who light up when visited by family friends youth and animals.
