Volunteers Needed for the American Cancer Society
2018-2019 Relay For Life of Yonkers to Help Save Lives
The American Cancer Society Relay of Life of Yonkers is seeking local volunteers that are passionate, energetic, movers and shakers to become a part of our Planning Committee! This team plans and executes the Relay For Life of Yonkers.
From event logistics, recruiting teams to join us on the track, marketing the event, planning our cancer survivor reception, creating and facilitating event ceremonies, scheduling entertainment and activities - these are just a few of the many opportunities and responsibilities taken on by our team of dedicated volunteers aimed at eliminating cancer once and for all! It only takes a LITTLE time and a BIG heart!
This year we are specifically looking for help with...
-Sponsorship Outreach: Work with Event Chair and ACS Staff Manager to build new prospect list of potential sponsors; outreach to potential sponsors (both corporate and local businesses); work with corporate and local sponsors to maximize their involvement.
-Day of Volunteers:
*Set Up
*Clean Up
*Oversee Activities/ Entertainment during the day
