Select and deliver library materials to Olathe residents who are unable to come to the library. Volunteers must be capable of lifting book bags of up to 10 pounds each and have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and a car. Library to You Volunteers must also pass a background check and sign an agreement to maintain confidentiality. Time Commitment: a few hours each month, depending on the number of individuals you are visiting. To learn more about LTY please email librarytoyou@gmail.com

They help the community to understand how the library works, as well as its importance as a community cultural, educational and recreational resource. Library service is enhanced by volunteers supplementing and assisting the library staff. Volunteers bring ability, talents, and time, allowing staff to provide enhanced services and embark upon special projects.

Please Note:
Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older unless volunteering for the teen department or as a part of the family volunteer program (2nd grade and up).
