Steer yourself towards an easy, fun volunteer opportunity! If you have a good driving record, know your way around Overland Park, and have about 90 minutes of free time a few Friday or Saturday afternoons a month, we could use your help.

Community Blood Center is looking for a few dedicated volunteers to pickup blood donations from our Overland Park center at approx. 4pm and deliver them to our main office near the Plaza where they can then be prepared for distribution to critically ill patients. Shifts take 90 minutes or less. We provide the vehicle, training, fuel and fun-you bring the time and dedication to saving lives!

To join our Drivers for Life team, you must be 21 years of age, be able to lift 35 lbs, pass a background check /Motor Vehicle Record screening, attend orientation and be ready to help save lives. Kansas residents need a standard driver's license. Missouri residents need a Class E license for Missouri (we will reimburse after 6 months of service). At least 1 volunteer shift/month 1 shifts/month, with a minimum commitment of 6 months of service are required. Couple/family/friends can drive as teams but both need to complete orientation.
