Description
Camp Harbor View serves 900 youths (each year) from Boston’s under served neighborhoods through two four-week summer camp sessions on Long Island in the Boston Harbor as well as programs for campers and their families throughout the year. Camp is free and includes one of our two sessions in July or August, round trip transportation, apparel, three meals per day, and access to school year programming and social services.
Once campers age out of the program, they are eligible to apply to the Camp Harbor View Leader-in-Training (LIT) program which includes job readiness, training, college preparation and fun, both during summer camp sessions and year-round. Qualified LITs can also apply for the Camp Harbor View Scholarship Program, which awards post-secondary education with a scholarship of up to $10,000.
Beyond the summer, Camp Harbor View offers exceptional year long services to all CHV youth and their families from its South End location, including monthly reunion events, mentoring, weekly activities, parent support groups and workshops, social services, and much more.
