Housing One Student at a Time, Inc. (H.O.S.T) is an organization with an attempt to decrease the number of homeless 4-year college students. It is our goal to help these students relieve the stress of finding and keeping housing so that they may put their focus elsewhere-- graduating and finding a career.
We are dedicated to finding community leaders to be a part of the Board of Directors. The purpose of the board is to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of H.O.S.T, Inc. and support the organization’s mission and needs.
Major responsibilities include:
- Organizational leadership and advisement
- Organization of the board of directors, officers, and committees
- Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures
- Financial management, including adoption and oversight of the annual budget
- Oversight of program planning and evaluation
- Personnel evaluation and staff development
- Review of organizational and programmatic reports
- Promotion of the organization
- Fundraising and outreach
Please note that this is a working Board as we are in our infancy stages. All Board Members will be required to assist in the planning, development, and execution of H.O.S.T activities.
