The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company is looking for an experienced and creative dancer to serve as head coach for the our Junior Hip-Hop Majorette Dance Team (Girls in Grades 5 to 12).
The 6-12 team is small and practices in Midtown Manhattan (West 35th/8th Ave) on Saturdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. We generally practice for three Saturdays out of the month unless we are preparing for a performance.
Someone who is trained in hip-hop, but who is willing to learn a little of the majorette style, is welcomed to apply.
We need someone who can jump in right away and make the commitment to staying with the team until June, 2019. We strongly prefer someone who is willing to grow with the team and the company, as our desire is to be able to move this position into a salaried one before the end of the year.
A high school senior with significant majorette and/or hip-hop experience can also apply as a junior coach for community service credit.
Many thanks for your interest!
