A volunteer is sought with experience in publication design/desktop publishing for creating a common "look" for our museum's publications. These include promotional brochures, a comprehensive museum guide and periodic history articles. The volunteer will be asked to design easy to use templates in one or more simple, affordable programs (PC or Mac) that will allow museum members to publish and update its own outreach materials and history articles. This may include instruction on specific programs selected for the designs.

The designs should not be dependent on programs requiring annual subscriptions. They should reflect the design themes on the museum's website but suggestions for alternatives are welcomed. This opportunity is particularly suitable for students or emerging professionals seeking to build their portfolios. Proximity to the museum is helpful but not essential. Most work is expected to be done remotely but periodic, face-to-face meetings with volunteers may be necessary.
