Do you have a passion for helping others? Do you want to make a difference in your community? Special Olympics Franklin County is the opportunity for you!

Special Olympics Franklin County serves almost 80 athletes with intellectual disabilities through athletic competition, school events, and health screenings. These events happen year-round, not just at the local Spring Games.... And we need your help to make this happen! We are seeking a Local Program Coordinator to continue spreading the joy-inspiring experience of Special Olympics.

Primary duties:

• Event Management: With the guidance of the Co-Coordinator and committee, work with games committee and Franklin County Schools students to host annual Spring Games and competition
• Health Promotion: Work closely with SONC Health Director and Franklin County Health Committee to grow Healthy Athletes program
• School Events: Identify Unified Champion Schools liaison to work with SONC staff member; attend Unified Champion Schools programming during school year
• Trainings and Communication: Work closely with SONC staff and attend training sessions, meetings, and conferences.
