VOLUNTEER WEB DESIGNER
Project Sub-Sahara is a small 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization located in Vancouver, WA. We are looking for a Web Designer to help us create and design a website.
Summary/Objective
The web designer will have primary responsibility for working on the website design and development, including creation of custom graphics. The position is also responsible for designing the user interface experience for our website and web based applications. This includes overall navigation flow, layout of specific pages, and creation of individual graphic elements.
- Provide design/maintenance of website and design applications.
- Design clear, engaging graphic communications for the web and assist in the logo development.
- Incorporate illustrative materials from PSS initiatives.
- Ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
- Provide design elements, comps, templates and finished solutions.
- Must be able to commit to improve quality of website for a minimum of one year and be available to provide us with technical assistance regarding the design aspects and maintenance.

Our mission is to promote health education and health awareness in rural communities in Ghana; encourage individuals to assume responsibility for their own health; and provide leadership and capacity building opportunities among providers servicing these communities.
Description
Project Sub Sahara, a small upstart Vancouver, WA based 501 c (3) non-profit organization seeks to network with US volunteer professionals in health care and education for engagement in Ghana. Project Sub Sahara utilizes resources, information and public health education to benefit rural communities in Ghana. PSS accomplishes its activities by coordinating information, referral and outreach programs to assist in promoting education for implementation of better health information and education services.
